  21. At the moment PPP 1.40 is in *beta* state. A release version will follow
  22. shortly.

  24. A PPP 1.30 key you got LEGALLY will also work with the next version.
  25. Faked or stolen keyfiles could crash PPP 1.30, AmiTCP, or randomly trash
  26. memory. This is still true (but the exact effects change) for 1.40 and
  27. later versions.

  29. If registered 1.30 is already up and running on your system then there is
  30. not much difference with the new version. It is intended mostly to work
  31. around some bugs in Win-NT servers and some other terminal servers.
